About me: Heather

Training:

Ayurveda:

  •  I worked at Maharishi Ayurveda Health Center for over 6yrs, doing Ayurvedic body-work, learning meditation, food and lifestyle.  From their I trained massage therapists in the Ayurvedic body-work. I helped the Maharishi group open an Ayurvedic Day Spa, set up, pricing and training. I then went on to Kripula to continue my training. Along the way I was involved with Harvard Medical and WHO , as they looked at bringing Ayurveda to the forefront of health. A member of NAMA.
  • I have completed the  Ayurvedic Health Counseling Program (650 hrs, Kripalu) and  continuing on in the Advanced Ayurvedic Training in 2023,

Massage:

  •  I completed my massage program at an accelerated school in 2005. I have continued my training in Reiki, Cancer massage, cranio- sacral, Thai Yoga massage, and meditation.

Herbology:

  • I trained at the Boston school of Herbalism.  I took the herbalism course and the advanced training course, where I learned to work with my clients and suggest herbal programs. I have continued training and working with herbal resources  as I have continued to grow and learn through herbs.
  • Through my Ayurvedic training I have continued to learn and explore further in the herbs and herbal protocol.

Hospice:

  • Over the years I have been drawn to work with hospice, through my own experiences with death and by witnessing the blessings of life and  gentle passings. I have the honor of doing massage and sitting with family during this time.

What's next:

As I continue to focus on my herbs and Ayurveda my goals and focus is on more advanced training

I have completed my Ayurvedic Health Consular program this last spring. I am in the process of  furthering my herbal education and just completed my  Advanced Ayurveda Training.

Over this past year I have started working with Hospice, and I'm looking ahead at putting together programs for our clients and continuing with the Death Doula program this spring

As I move through this journey and learn and grow, I bring this into my practice everyday.

There is always going to be more ways to learn and bring this back to you.

My Interests

I'm always looking for ways to live easy and simply. I love to harvest herbs and use them in my cooking.

I love taking, walks and exploring, just being outside.

I enjoy reading and usually it has to do with Ayurveda, herbs and wellness.

I say this to my clients, I have said this in many talks, " I live a lifestyle that emulates what I believe, what I share.
