Ayurveda

Ayurveda is the science of life. Learning and understanding your true authentic self.

What is Ayurveda

Over the years I have heard from my clients that Ayurveda is to complicated. They are not sure how it connects to their world today or where to start.

Ayurveda is your daily routine - dinacharya, sleep pattern, how we eat and right down to the yoga that works best for your body type.

Ayurveda is understanding your true self.

Explore and learn about Ayurveda, the elements and how it all connects.

Dinacharya

Your daily routine

Your dinachayra is your guide to your daily routine.

Our routine is like a clock for our body and if your in sync with your natural rhythm the whole system works better.

We have heard about circadian rhythm, waking with the sun rise and going to bed the same time everyday. Now lets take this one step farther.

In Ayurveda we look at our routine, self care, eating for the seasons, even changing our schedules for the season.

When we wake up at the same time everyday, do our self care, mediation everyday, over a short time we will see the difference. As we learn to listen to our body and understand the ayurvedic structure we can start to see how we can benefit from structure, balance and routine.

Next time your feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, stressed out or just running in circles, look at your dincharya, are you in balance with your natural rhythm?

Over time we sleep better, our weight is easier to maintain, we strengthen our immune response and are more in-tune with our true self.

Rtucarya / Ritucharya

Your seasonal routine

How do we work with the elements, how do they effect the outcome of our wellness through the seasons?

This is Rtucarya (spelling will differ due to how it's translated ), creating our routines around the seasonal changes by looking at the elements.

In the winter we like to be warm and cozy, the summer we focus on staying cool and in the fall we look at how the seasons have effected us and prepare for a long winter ahead.

I laugh when I look at my chickens, they get up with the sun, go to bed when its entering dusk, and when the weather changes, so do their habits. They know what they need, what their body needs and adjust with it.

We are the same, if we tweak our day to day with the seasons, we are able to move and flow and create an overall wellbeing.

Moving through the seasons, exploring and learning to live in balance with nature is what it's about

Starting in January of 2023, we will explore the season changes through the elements. Working on, learning and understanding how earth, water, fire, air and ether effect our emotional and physical wellness.
